i installed it yesterday in parallels desktop on my mac. then i saw this thread today lol. gotta agree freaking loved that game. and tbh..would still play it if it was still active.
been thinking of bringing everyone back, all AS, DS, RS etc and just throw em in a server once a week or something...
does that sound as a plan...if possible?

Good plan if you could make it work Beagle, although I dont rate the chances high as most of those other squads have died off or disappeared completely.
To the best of my knowledge we are the only original DF2 clan still active online (website, etc) and playing as a clan. If you could contact anyone and get the ball rolling on this I would support the idea 100% mate.

Yea i know m8. such a shame. thats why its really cool to see DS still going strong (with some of the original members from the old days like you and bau) But the idea is there..thats one..i can at least try to contact some of the guys. And see who i can find. will try.. mayb make a list on here of players we want? im sure i will forget some peeps from years back.
**and got a backup plan back in my mind.. if this doesnt work out cause of people not having the game anymore or the comps r too good for the old game or whatever. mayb we can all move to a newer game. (bf3 for example) and meet up there with DS and other squads we might make.
just thinking out loud here..

Some old names coming up there, have you had any joy contacting anyone else other than RS though?
I gave this some thought last night, the old MSN Messenger might be the best method to find people as we were all using that to organise scrims etc back in the day mate.

Ill play, last time i was on Kevorkian-SYN- was still playing daily.. And there was seemed to be 30 people on every night.. Not sure if its still even that active lol.. Also saw some AS tags but this must of been 6 months ago now..
Get Dffavs installed and check out who's online.. Saw a few old names but not many..
Orion-SYN- still had it installed last i spoke to him and said he was looking for a game..
Doesn't seem like many use MSN anymore..
If anyone needs game, its available to download online and can help anyone with installing it and dffavs and CB and stuff, can get it to run on windows 7.. Ryan had it installed too i was playing with him when i was last on

Obviously you can count me in, providing I can get the game to run.
As for contacting other squads, I didnt have much joy on MSN when I tried so I sent off a bunch of emails to some old contacts but so far no responses mate.
