Judge Dredd

And not that Hollywood piece of shite starring Stallone but a proper rendition of the antihero I have held dear to my heart since I was a nipper. This film is known solely as "Dredd" and aims to be as close to the beloved comic that I myself take my name from.



And for those true diehard 2000AD fans like myself couple of interesting pointers, John Wagner read and approved the script (also believe he had input into the making of the movie) and true to form Dredd keeps his helmet on the entire movie. Oh and the rookie Dredd is taking through her probation is Anderson and if it goes well at the box office it will the first in a trilogy.

Releases 7th September in the UK in 2D and 3D and I WILL BE GOING TO SEE IT. It better not fecking disappoint like that last pile of bollox (though I loved it had Hammerstein in it) or I am going to have to all Mean Angel on dial 4 on someones ass.

Seen it, gets my vote as the best Dredd movie ever made. Grossed over £50 million and is the UK number 1 film at the minute.

Not much of a storyline but near two hours of unnecessary violence, which is Dredd all over really and no previous knowledge of the 2000AD universe required. Seen it in 3D which was good, particularly during the more bloody scenes.

Does as well in the states and we are looking at a trilogy, film 2 looking at the origins of Dredd and film 3 ............. wait for it ........... will feature Judge Death! This Urban guy plays Dredd better than that speech impedimented yank ever could.

Thumbs up from me, not strictly cannon but enjoyable none the less.

Yet another philistine, if you had any culture or knowledge of the great 2000AD and its place in British comic history you would show a little more respect. You come from the country that took the icon that is Dredd and give us that pile of steaming horse shite with Stallone in it. This is by far a better representation and its British made so Drokk You Grexnix!

Just had to necro this thread cus guess wot I got for fathers day, yup Dredd on DVD. Still the best Dredd movie ever done.

Tescos are doing it for a fiver I believe mate, some dvd sale or something.

That minty stuff is good for fan made, wasn't aware of it till now. Good old fashion lawgiver and lawmaster so definate kudos for that (Lawmasters are different in the film which was a minor point i didnt like).

Reminds me of another fan made trailer that I want to see made into a proper film.
