| DS is an institution that was alive before Slaine, Gas, and I were even on a squad. I picked up Df2 on 9/11 2001 (weird day) when i was in San Diego,Ca. I played single player since i had no internet at the time. (2001 folks lol). I moved back to Texas in 2002 and got online. So I started playing DF2 on servers and ran into Spitfire ~DS~ who recruited me. Col. Mighty is the founder of DS, and he was there and recruited me to Captain (because I contributed to the server..lol funny how that goes). I will always hold Spitfire in high respect just for accepting me on a squad. I don't know where the fuck he is now but he had a falling out with Col. Mighty shortly after I joined. So anyways I can go on and on about our brothers we have played with but one still sticks in my mind. A01Jr was our brother from another mother and he died in San Diego several years ago. He was in the US ARMY and though I never met him in person, this dude was the shit. His name is Branch. So anyways, on DS, in servers, this guy called Joe Pineapples was coming around. I relentlessly tried recruiting this fucker but he played hard to catch for a while.FInally he joined up and all was sweet. I could type for hours about this shit. Yeah we played DF2, BF2. Cod4. BHD. Not to mention Gas, who joined up with us in the DF2 days as a youngster and now is a Council member. What I love about this squad is we are international and we get along well besides the frequent insults. How the fuck could we keep a squad alive so long? Because we are ~DS~. Oh I havn't forgotten the Krypter. This man is classy as hell after joining us after we accused him of hacking. Now that is an upstanding dude. Also props out to our "newer" members Fish, Lee, Mark, Cloud, Jesse, Bull, Rocky, and whoever else. ~DS~ rocks and let's keep the tradition alive. add any history or comments that i purposely skipped. | |

Good old days.. And an interesting insight Bau.. long may the history be continued!!

| DF2 S&D had a great community tho so we have came from a great background and its amazing that the squads still around after moving from game to game.. I bet the founding members would all be proud of the achievement.. | |

I'd agree with that - there always was something about S&D which had the most regular servers, and so most regular players. Played in your guys server a lot in SoL/SYN days, along with Combat Arena and UFC (i think it was that?). Of course, that was a good few years in after Dinner Bell became a non-existent, cheat infested server...
